Glad the Council Tax issue appears to have been sorted. What I would do now is to pop into the letting-agent's office and ask for a copy of the documentation they have on file about releasing you from the tenancy, just to be absolutely certain that there is no on-going liability there.
I'm concerned about the tenancy agreement being extended or re-signed and your having left the property has not formally ended your tenancy and therefore your continuing liability to the landlord for the rent.
The broadband is a non-issue if the bill isn't in your name. Quite honestly I can't see how it would be worth your ex co-tenant starting proceedings in court but folk are strange and even stranger where money is concerned.0
