Car Hire Credit Card Needed? - Help

Hi, we have booked our car through Carjet and notice on their website it says a credit card is required for the fuel payment on collection. We have prepaid the car by debit card already. Does anyone know if they will accept a post office travel card or a pre pay visa card?

I have mailed them but have had no reply and am panicking slightly!
TIA

We have had a complete nightmare with car companies and credit cards. They all seem to want a cc to charge a fee to. In Dublin this was 500 euros. This was for the security of the car. In spain there were a few companies that excepted a cash deposit in the event of not having a cc, this was £500 (eek) and would be refunded by cheque up to 8 weeks after the trip. Our credit card only had a limit of £200 and as this was insufficient, it was refused. A debit card was not accepted either. (Despite being used to book the car) We have had to have a relative order us a credit card on their account, so that we can actually use a car.
I would phone them to query as I have found that none of the big companis will accept anything other than a credit card.

Totally sorry, I don't know what a pre-pay credit card is, I only know that it has to have a certain amount of funds available.
