Will amending annual mileage reduce my premium

I renewed my car insurance in August and pay monthly. My annual mileage I declared as 12,000miles

However due to changing jobs this is due to decrease to a total of approx 6,000 for the year up to when renewal is due

If I call my insurer to inform them of this is it likely to reduce the monthly premium for the balance of the policy term?

All replies appreciated.

it might, but it might not and some insurers charge an amendment fee - so unless your premium is high it might not be worth bothering over.

It won't be much anyway. When my renewal came up I changed from 25k to 12k and only saved about £30
