Hi,Having read a few threads regarding private parking tickets on this website,i decided to "hold tight" and let CP Plus ltd do the chasing. And chase they have.
Ive now received my 3rd letter.("Notice of Litigation") telling me to pay up within 7 days of receipt of this letter.
It also states that if i dont their solicitor "may issue county court proceedings against you(or a decree in scotland)"
I'm not backing down on this one,no way. I have not contacted them.Ive taken photos of the area they say is reserved for motor bikes. Do i reply to them stating a refusal to pay(thereby opening up correspondence?) ignore it? or wait for county court papers to arrive.I have photographic proof of insufficient signage/no delineating boundary paint.any help regarding this matter is greatly appreciated.carpark king.

The only correspondence you need to take seriously is a county court claim. Everything else, just ignore.
CP do not do court, so you will be waiting for ever for court papers to arrive.0 -
Dont contact them, full stop.
The key word in your post is MAY, ignore it.
If push comes to shove, they could only take the driver to court, they dont know who the driver is, they only know who the registerd keeper is.
Stand your ground and ignore.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thanks for the feedback.I was wondering why they are after a (possible) decree in scotland? Is that the same as a CCJ? Would my credit rating be affected if they got a scottish decree? i know it does if i get a CCJ and i dont pay it,but does a scottish decree hold the same weight/gravitas as a CCJ? Again thanks for any info on this matter.Carpark king.0

Yes, CCJ in England & Wales = decree in Scotland.0

CP Plus don't do court anyway, so carry on ignoring and don't worry.0

Thanks again for the replies, they have helped strengthen my resolve on this matter.I will keep you updated on this thread, and get some photos of their letters uploaded too (with relevent personal details ommited). If any one else has just been slapped with paperwork from CP Plus and arent sure what to do,please dont just fold. Refuse point blank to pander to them, and their bullying tactics.carpark King.0

Are you playing snap with the sample letters for CP Plus in this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2214803 ?
If so, you have just collected the latest letter in the scam, the key words to note are "Intended" and "May".0 -

cp plus, the corners of the desparate begging letters are exellent for picking your teeth after a turkey drumstick.PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue. :eek:0
