How will the green energy certificates work? My house was built pre war how are they going to give them ratings how will they test the house for energy greeness?

not quite sure guess they'll do a sap rating based on materials of your house (like they do for all new houses)
i.e. brick / block how big cavity is, insulation in walls, roof, underfloor etc, double glazed windows etc
assuming it will be very basic0 -
Mines all wooden floors apart from the kitchen and has no cavity walls at all its single brick so hope that wont make mine too low. I have loft insulation but might have to top it upThanx
