conservatory roof - plastic sheets sealing up

Hi, please see two links below to a conservatory roof which has just been placed on the side walls as just a lid with no sealing/insulation so the contact between the roof sheets and side walls is not air tight as a result of which the conservatory is always freezing.

I'd like to fix this but I am not sure what goes between this space? Hoping some experts can help me on this.

Many thanks and a happy new year

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it matters not how you seal it up, plastic roofs like that are next to useless at retaining any kind of heat even if they are sealed up correctly, ask any conservatroy owner with a plastic roof and i am sure they will agree , i would save your money up for a proper glass roof , my ,mum paid about 10k for her conservatory and it is unusable in winter because fo the plastic roof! i have just spent 15k on mine and have planitherm low e glass over 50% of the roof space and even that struggles to retain the heat

I disagree..I have been to two friend's properties in the last couple of days with the same plastic sheet roof and because of proper sealing the conservatories are usable and actually do retain heat..You couldn't actually tell the difference between living room and conservatory temperature as it was that well done.
What they couldn't tell me what had been used and I couldn't get to the right place to see for myself..hence the question on here.

I should get round there sharpish and find out how it was done and then go into business providing that as a service - you'll make a fortune

The OP only wants to know how to seal up the gaps to prevent draughts to make the conservatory usable - which is possible despite the roof being plastic

There are closed-cell foam strips available to plug the gaps, and then these can be fully sealed with some silicone mastic or a uPVC cover strip
