Yes you should do - you'll got online banking with both, card comes through quickly and what's fab is you can get free text messages about your limit etc from both these!
or thinking you could ask Co-op to put a block on your account - explain, they may be a bit softer now but when I was with them a real nightmare

Think hard about this though asking for a block on the account - it will affect ALL outgoing payments and I imagine the Co-operative getting self rightous as they do!

Hope you can sort something both Bank and Wonga x

Both my basic accounts were open and running in days with cards received in the post

But you can afford to have the loan rack up charges and cost you more?

The mind boggles. Really it does.

    good to know
  • Hi far2cute

The only other option I can think is pre-pay cards (not really the best because this def costs more in the long run and I would say isn't worth it same as managed bank accounts really) or we hope for a delay with it being bank hol which may explain why no applications are being accepted to

Stop running away from this and sort it out with the PDL company. There really is no other option. Every time the PDL company try to take their money, they will probably charge you for any failed attempts, have you read the t & c's ? They may also be successful in taking their money even if there is no money in the account, causing you to incur charges there. Don't think because you change accounts they won't debit you. They will. The transaction may not automatically be declined.

Well I really hope you are going to be a more repsonsible parent, then teaching your child/children to take money and then try to avoid paying it back as agreed.

It really is time that all Payday loan lenders were joined together in some way that as soon as someone defaults, that is it, no more payday loans allowed.
