Rather than pick on Drink or Drug drivers I prefer to have people using their mobile phones or smoking whilst driving shot in front of their families (with apologies to J Clarkson) but we can't have everything we want can we?

Are you seriously saying drink/drug driving is acceptable?

While people using there phones/smoking will/could cause lack of concentration drink/drug driving is far worse.

Elephant tend to always inflate there renewal.

However get comparisons and they may not match but will reduce the premium by quite a bit.

    Certainly not.

Drink drivers deservedly get stiff penalties through the criminal justice system. They get a criminal record and the cost of their insurance goes sky high.

What I object to as a matter of principal are unfair conditions in a contract where an insurer thinks it OK to dish out their own punishment.
A punishment with no apparent limitation.

Similar issue where a member of your family, or someone who lives with you takes your car. Elephant won't cover you and will pursue you for the TP Costs. A less emotive exclusion but IMHO just as unfair.

My point about smoking and mobiles is merely to demonstrate that there are other ways to cause damage. Plenty of people on here believe that all accidents are a result of driver negligence in which case maybe everyone should pay up for their "crime".

My suggestion would be for Admiral Group to settle the TP claims but not pay for the repairs to the drivers own vehicle/property (whether theirs or not).
Mr Straw described whiplash as "not so much an injury, more a profitable invention of the human imagination—undiagnosable except by third-rate doctors in the pay of the claims management companies or personal injury lawyers"

I'd bet on the vast majority being down to driver error or negligence. What else is there really?
Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.
