Me and OH have been out for lunch today. We got a voucher where we could get 3 courses at our favourite restaurant for £7 each! So I got:

starter - roasted beetroot salad with toasted almonds - AMAZING

main - crab and salmon fishcake, with english shrimps, wilted spinach and fresh herb dressing

pud - slice of dark chocolate tart, no cream.

It was soooo good. YUM. Not even feeling guilty over the pudding! It was lovely and it was nice to go out with OH as we don't really do that at the moment, but at that price, you can't really go wrong! So, not a NSD in the SF household, but well worth it.

Sorry to hear about the job SF, good you got some helpful feedback, (((hugs))) anyway though.

Sounds like you had a wonderful meal out, and a bargain too!! I was out for a meal tonight too. The local Astrosoc's annual dinner...at the college where I was working all day today!! Rather odd being back there after driving home in the snow (yes, snow!) after work finished.

Need to get to bed...sooo tired..but not working tomorrow (today!), so can sleep in for a bit :D

Have a good weekend...and chin up xx

Thanks you two, I am trying to stay positive :)

Well, I've not done much today. I have managed to transfer £45 over to savings, which is something. I also made a very yummy HM chicken curry tonight, which meant that it satisfied my need for a takeaway, with things I had in the cupboard! So, frugal victory there I think! So today has been a NSD in the SF household.

    Food:
b - half a portion of porridge, skimmed milk, half a banana and a tablespoon of peanut butter
l - salmon and cucumber sarnie, packet of sk!ps (82 cals)
t - HM chicken, spinach and mushroom curry, naan bread, 1 jaffa cake

Not too bad today, I don't think :)

Not much to update on really. We've managed to get through January with me doing 6 hours of paid work, which is pretty rubbish to be honest. We're now moving house in 2 weeks, as we can't afford the rent where we are, so that's another added stress!

I can also say I get married next month! 59 days to be exact ;)

Sorry to hear you are having to move SF....hopefully you will pick up some more work soon, though there is half term taking a wekk out of an already short month. Any prospect of more supply teaching in the near future?

Been going to an evening class for the past few weeks: Accounting for the Self-employed. Looking at my figures for the craft-fairs, the tutor asked me if I really wanted to continue trying to sell stuff, as the books don't look good!! So now back to wondering if I should have gone down this track at all!!

Suffice to say, I didn't sleep much last night, hey-ho!!

Good luck with your move and job hunting...keep plodding xxx

Thanks Keiss :) where do you sell your craft things? I hope things keep ticking over for you - I think your tutor was a bit rude saying that! You keep plodding too xx
