I brought an annual travel card for the London Underground however moved out of London before I had used it all so took it back to a tube station to claim my refund last week however I have heard nothing since? Has anyone done this before and if so how long did it take?

Not been that many working days since you handed it in then?
How far into the twelve months are you?
After about ten months an annual ticket has no value.0 -

I was only a month into it, so they said I would get back £1157. I gave them my card number and expiry date to have it refunded straight back to my visa.

This webpage suggests you might have to wait up to 21 days.
Although they are not talking about the same sort of refund.
Did the tube station give you no idea how long you would have to wait?0 -

They said it should be done in about a week, but after speaking to someone else at TfL they now want me to send a copy of the receipt I was given when I had it refunded. Probably just a ruse to keep hold of my money longer.

yes because your money is a massive part of how TFL is financed and without it they may go broke.
You probably have to wait a bit longer as the start of a new year and new prices so the person doing it will have to take just a little bit longer to process it at last years prices."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0
