BOS say I have no PPI on my loan but I do!!

Hi,

Looking for advice. Unsecured loan taken out 2002 with BOS with 'Credit Care Insurance'. 25K loan over 10 years and they added 18k of insurance (plus interest) On writing to BOS and a couple of 'stalling' letters back, the last letter says they can find no record of PPI on my loan and will not investigate further.

Is this a terminology thing? Is 'credit care inurance' the same as PPI? What next? Ombudsman?

Any advice appreciated.

    Do you have the agreement to show ppi?.
    My son had credit care and won redress with these,if you dont have the agreement,Send a SAR https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553
    Enclose £10 for this.

    If you have the agreement and it shows ppi (from what you posted,you seem to know this)then copy this and send it back to them,tell them you dont agree with their findings and ask them to look into mis sell of the ppi on the agreement you have enclosed.

    Before you go to the FOS, show the lender a copy of the information you have. It is possible they have nothing showing PPI (misfiled, destroyed or looking in wrong place). This will almost certainly be quicker than going to the FOS.

    Yeah, I have 2 x copies of the agreement, probably just as well as when photocopy it doesnt come out. Will send them one of the copies.

    Amersall, if you don't mind me asking, is my situation re date loan taken out similar to your sons? I had cover by other means, work paid me if off, and BOS didnt ask me this.

    My sons was 8 years ago, i di dnot think they would pay this out,but they did.
