My Partner has received a parking ticket from Parking Eye for staying longer than allowed at Ings Road in Wakefield, after looking on here and another site i've said not to contact Parking Eye and ignore any future letters, just wanted to see if their was any experiance of bayliffs actually chasing this payment or anybody actually going to court. I'm guessing the parking companies never go further than the bully boy letters, a bit of reassurance would be good though.:)

Worry you not. "Bailiffs" don't just come chasing for payments. For a proper bailiff to become involved the case has to go to court (very unlikely) you lose ( very, very unlikely) and then you don't pay whatever the judge orders within 28 days. This is such a remote possibility that it's worth bothering about.
Perhaps you are confusing them with powerless debt collectors who will never come to you house. They just send stupid and meaningless letters. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
I've split this into a new thread0

Just ignore them. PE are a bunch of complete muppets who can't even get the country they operate in right.
So the chances of them taking you to court are miniscule at best.
It must be nearly eighteen months since I last heard anything from them and if you check the letter chain sticky, you will see what you can expect.0 -
AHHH Ings road, have a small folder from Ings road, around 9 I think, going back over 3 years, never paid a penny, completely ignored the lot as it is a free car park, had dozens of silly letters full of the most bizarre threats, they even tried calling the phone, but after some very severe vulgar abuse, they never did that again.
