Howdens

My daughter has recently moved into a house with a new Howdens kitchen fitted, nothing wrong with the Kitchen, except we want to fit one extra wall cupboard, been to Howdens and they won't sell one to me as i have no account and say they need fitting by qualified tradesmen. I did have to bite my tounge, explaining to them i am a retired plumber and hanging a wall cupboard is no problem at all. Unfortunatley the previous owner had a contractor to install the kitchen and he is no longer in the area or i would have asked him to purchase one for me. Does anyone know anyway to get around this stupid set up at Howdens, being new to the area she knows no trades people to ask. Its as if they don't want the buisness, which in these times is just plain stupid. I really don't see the point in paying for someone to supply and hang one cupboard.

All you need to do is find a contractor with an account with Howdens. Get them to buy it for you.
Them telling you the contractor has to hang is it rubbish.
Just stand outside Howdens and get one of the tradesman to get a price for you, ask him to order it for you. Pay him for it and get him to pick it up when it comes in. Ring you, you pick it up from him and bobs our uncle.
Obviously he will put a bit on for his trouble but thats business.
Simple (which is what the salesperson must be to be honest. )make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I believe you can walk into Howdens and usually view their kitchens and request prices. Just not purchase them.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0

You don't need to order cabinets from Howdens, they are all in stock. So just ask one of the Tradesmen to get it for you and then pay him when he walks out of the store with it.
Or just open up a account with them..
