  • Any of you have trouble converting you friends/family to using coupons?

Trying to tell my friend tonight how to use coupns to their advantage, but they just couldn't be told. All I got in return was it's cheaper in poundland. Er no it's not....the example was the lenor offer at T's well it's £1.68 and you use a £1 off coupon from SSM mission control, so you get it for 68p. But no it's cheaper in poundland ARGH!

I always get 'I havent got time' as my reply, even when I show them the receipt of the before and after price... The fools! Lol

    Morning all.
Amy_Lou - hope you can get some rest today.
We were up early - we think we had a bird dancing around in the soffits. Not amused. DH will get up there later and check.
Off to sort out my coupons and see what I can use today.
Managed to use my Cadbury's choc one yesterday in a Tesco Metro. SA was not amused. She called over to another member of staff and said "can she use this? It means she isn't paying anything. Other SA didn't know. She then called a supervisor over and said so long as I had bought the exact product which I had, I could use it. She then did not want to give me a receipt as I hadn't paid anything! I kept smiling but insisted on receipt.

To get a ° symbol, you hold down ALT key and then press 0176 and let go of ALT.

    They've forecast a 15°C high for Sheffield but 17°C high where I live :D

    Morning all :)

Press and HOLD the ALT KEY
Enter 2 4 8 using the NUMERIC KEY PAD
    Release ALT key

If on a laptop/netbook like mine WITHOUT SEPARATE numeric keypad then ....

Turn On NUMLOCK - that's Press & Hold Fn (Function) Key and Press NUMLK - should get a LED indication like you do for CAPSLOCK ...

    THEN

Press and HOLD the ALT KEY
Enter K U 8 on the normal keyboard
    Release ALT key

Remember to add F or C (or K if you want to be ABSOLUTE :D) depending whether you like it in "OLD money" or "NEW money" (or are a bit NERDY :) ):rotfl:

    °F °C °K

Don't forget to TURN OFF NUMLOCK afterwards :D
