Is Martin messing around with MSE again? or is it just my lappy? now have message that I need to replace the battery as it is no longer holding it's charge.... think I am going to hibernate until next year.
Do you have the battery in, and it charging up?. I mean do you have laptop on your knee and take it about with you, or just battery in, and also plugged in and dont take it anywhere?
I have my laptop on a pc desk with the battery out, and plugged in
i think batteries go after a while, i have mine plugged in cos its easier

AN UPDATE: Big apology from ASDA re Gift Card - another (possibly with more money on it) is on its way to me .....
.... along with ANOTHER GIFT CARD for my call of yesterday from a different department .... issued for 2 reasons ...
... the problem itself (Morrisons N/A*) and the fact that I'm helping them SOLVE the problem
Spoke to someone a "little more" technical, specifically based in the APG team and explained the issue .... especially since I had "interesting receipts"
Basically, 2 receipts from the same store on the same day (29/12) 1 early morning, 1 mid-afternoon.
The latter was the one checked on 30/12 and had the Morrisons N/A* problem ....
... the early morning one I deliberately didn't check the same day - left it until Jan 1st (might have been 2nd) and guess what .... IT DID the APG against MORRISONS prices OK
So, the "feeling" is that there is possibly just a single an item on the problem receipt that it wants to genuinely price check against (it's NOT a N/A item at Morrisons that would be disregarded) and it IS on file but the price is marked "out of date" and for some reason it invalidates the entire receipt comparison for Morrisons.
Anyway I'm sending off copies of both receipts (and the one from 2/11/11) and they are chasing up mysupermarket.com to explain the failure of APG to function correctly.
Definitely worth keeping an eye out for Morrisons not being compared against and probably to your advantage to contact ASDA about it - 08009520101unhappy_shopper wrote: »I do not think it is a single item that is causing this problem. I have had this problem of Morrison's not comparing from mid-December onwards. I think it is something to do with the Morrisons prices not being updated twice a week in the mysupermarket database.
APG T&C states the following:
2.2 Morrisons prices are collected instore (by an independent agency) twice a week (Monday and Wednesday), and therefore unlike Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose, are only updated twice per week. Morrisons prices are collected in stores each week around Great Britain;
2.2.1 Prices are taken from the shelf price label for each product in Morrisons; If any product is sold out, then we'll still use the shelf price label. If however a product has a price marked on it, then the lowest price will be used for the comparison.
2.2.2 mySupermarket have audited the Morrisons collection process, and will only include comparisons that they are confident are accurate.
2.3 Where prices are found to be different across stores (in the case of Morrisons) or across website postcodes sampled (in the case of Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose), the most commonly occurring price is used.
May be the independent agency is still on Christmas holidays. :eek:unhappy_shopper wrote: »My shops. The ASDA store where I frequently do my grocery shopping must have been voted the cleanest, as I have not seen even a single receipt so far littering the trolleys or the carpark, or there must be some overzealous womblers around there.
I went through the receipts(3) I currently have and they do not have the same item in them. Maybe a regional database then. I have sent them to the APG tech team for them to sort it out.
A further update
My "assistance" appears to have paid off .... having spoken at length to them yesterday, sent them some "faulty" receipts the day before and gave them full details this morning of a further 4 receipts that exhibited the same "Morrisions N/A*" problem .... it has been SOLVED
They called me back this evening to let me know.
Apparently having the evidence of a significant failure in the APG to work as it should, ASDA got a bit stroppy with mysupermarket.com about their inability to provide the service that they had been contracted for. Shortly afterwards MSM.com admitted the error, blaming some "technical issue" which they will be putting right as soon as possible.
The outcome is ......
IF YOU'VE DONE AN APG CHECK THAT HAS COME UP ..
Morrisions N/A*
THEN DO IT AGAIN ..... NEXT MONDAY (or later)
It will RECALCULATE the APG and do it right this time
I'll be doing mine Monday and I have the direct contact at ASDA should it not work so they can jump on MSM.com immediately :j
