AH, I don't know why your home insurance is so expensive! Maybe you live in a mansion
either that or you are living in a notorious area:p
I never paid my home & content more than £200.
2010/2011 with Churchill my insurance only cost me £131.25 (excluding cashback:D - after cashback I think is was around £80ish)
2011/2012 with churchill £151.58 (inc. legal protect) my excess is only £150
(can't remember how much cashback I got - most probably I was still with quidco but I have closed my a/c with them now so don't know how much cashback I got.)RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

All this talk of insurance has reminded me that soon I must start looking around, my hourse and contents insurance is due in April and I have been with R&S for a few years now so will need to see if I can get it cheaper.
I need to save a lot more money this year so will contact Sky next week when I can talk without coughing and see if I can get a reduction.
My DS contacted Virgin/NTL for his broadband a couple of days ago and got the cost down from £26 a month to £17 and he was really pleased with that.
He just needs to sort out a cheaper phone contract as he is on 02 pay as you go but he is paying a lot as he sends quite a few texts. He wants to stay with 02 and not change his phone so if anyone knows of a good contract with free texts please let me know.
