hi mybb
will answer best i can and many may or may not understand/agree
this subject occured a while ago and the compromise was when i thank posters for new finds that i has NEW COUPON or READDED COUPON in big red letters to the top so those scrolling through chatter ( and theres alot) can easily find them.
as i said before, its not just the extra work it would involve ( thread does take more work than many realise)and keeping track but when do we decide when NEW is no longer NEW with people joining thread everyday.
another thing is that posts have a max. letter allowence so adding more will fill posts even quick meaning yet more new posts being needed on 1st page and many feel there already to many.@myrtleturtle: [suggestion about the list at the 1st page] can you maybe add *NEW next to those that are added on the list recently and maybe date them. 'Cos I have to look at the latest posts and work my way back to see what I've missed.0 -
MT - I know I'm not the only person who marvels at the way you keep this thread up to date, answer questions, check out involved queries etc.
As it takes me long enough just to read the posts, I came to the conclusion that you have an arrangement with Someone Important to give you 36 hour days!!
Thanks for doing such a wonderful job, and you can only guess at the hundreds of thousands of pounds your efforts have collectively saved all followers of this thread!

just an update on coupon use in Sainsburys and Tesco in Beckton as I asked about them a few days back.
Tesco was great, they were happy for me to use coupons on SS till and the SA hanging around the area was very friendly and happy to put all the rest through for me, she didn't even question why I had 4 of the vitalite PDF coupons whereas I know some people have been hassled even though they are entirely legit.
Sainsburys on the other hand, they weren't impolite about it the lady on the till I was at was very apologetic but it seems their tills after the refurb are set up specifically not to accept most types of coupons as they would beep but do nothing else, and most of the staff including the customer service manager said they had never seen 'coupons you print yourself' before  which I just find surprising. Methinks maybe as sainsburys in particular have been targetted by coupon fraud; they have put some stringent measures in place in new and refurbed stores? One staff member tried to say that they were copies but I pointed out they are personalised and have my name on and are all different bar codes, he shut up. They spoke to the actual manager who thankfully happened to be milling about and she said they are legit and said the customer service till is the only one set up for them so she sorted it so another SA could put the coupons through on it, but it was quite a bit of hassle and a bit embarassing. Also the guy who put my coupons through did mess up a bit and consequently put the fairy through as two transactions; so I got it for 80p each instead of the 25p each as I should have done. Another thing was the nature babycare nappies in the size I prefer to buy for my son were out of stock so I had to get him the size 3s, which he is borderline too big for (though IME the nature babycare nappies are a bit more generously sized than other major brands), so I didn't use the third coupon for those and will just get them from waitrose-even if not on offer £4 is still a decent saving. So next time would probably avoid the Beckton sainsburys tbh xx0 -
to anyone who think its a good idea
sorry please don't think i'm getting at you NTF
but mis deeming coupons while seeming great in the short term will only make store clamp down even more.
many people are already have trouble using coupons instore
a short term gain for one, could lead to a long term lose for all*niptuckfan* wrote: »hi all, i was in asda earlier and they didnt have the rolled back non bio capsules so i tried the normal ones ...........................................fingers crossed it continues0 -

thats ok, its hard to take it all in when new
these are the rules of thread though and it'd be a shame if even more store got awkward with take coupons, we have to do what we can to keep things on good terms, so we can use coupons for years to come
from 1st pages with other info
not allowed are:
1) encouraging misuse of coupons , i.e not buying the item , printing off multiple coupons and buying multiple items when the terms say you should not
2) editing of coupons , scanning of coupons , making multiple sheets of copons to print off
3) offering to send by post any coupons you have , requires swapping of names and addresses which is not allowed if you check the Forum FAQ's
4) posting of your personal email addresses
5) offers to PM codes , if you have a code it has to be posted ( again covered in the FAQ's and "stickies" here)
and finally
6) personal abuse between forum users , outside my remit as a Board Guide so ALL posts get referred to the forum team*niptuckfan* wrote: »fair point MT, im new to this and suppose havent thought it all through, so easy to get carried away with good prices, i did ask the girl first to check so i presumed if it scanned then it must be ok from the retailers side of things?0
