You have a lot to learn.
Potentially anybody who does not like what you send them can sue you.

OOPS sent you a beer but forgot you're too young to drink it LOL

Does the information printed in any form by estate agents not copyrighted to them for a start?

Property Management Consultancy :) Basically Landlords will pay me a fee to create them a report tailored to their requirements about each of my 'partner' management firms in order to see who can provide them with the best service. I'm not going to recommend any particular firm to them as then I can be sued for liable I'm just going to present them with the facts in an easy digestible way for them to make their decision.

This doesnt make much sense, i think you should stay at school for a few more years......

You'll only get sued for libel if you write something which is not true. You can still give your opinion / recommendation backed up by what you find.

Plus it's very costly, to bring a case of defamation of character, libel or slander, to the court anyway. I doubt you'd even find a lawyer prepared to take on such a case on a "no win no fee" basis unless the case was water tight and then the scavengers, sorry mean't lawyers, will fight over it.

Can a 16 year old actually be taken to civil court?
What is the lower age limit?

  • To get any clients he will have to form a contract between them - he is too young to do this.
The only way round this is for him to lie about his age and commit fraud.

I wonder what makes the OP think that he (if it is a he) is in a position to offer a worthwhile opinion on these property management firms anyway? Presumably he has never purchased or rented a property at 16, so why would anybody think he has any knowledge to offer? I'm inbclined to agree with jones that lying is the only way this business could ever take off, and that's hardly a good starting position.

I doubt it would be a starter, besides landlords go for one thing the cheapest
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • I just want to say to the OP, stay at school, get the grades you need, live a little and maybe when you're older, things will work out. Don't grow up/old before you need to, your youth is very precious.

Haha Maybe I should, at least I'm having a go.

Tbh I agree and accept the point.
I have never rented a property or brought a property. I have worked in the industry and didn't find it all that challenging.
