Plans for 2012?

Options
Have you made any plans for 2012?
Mine include no longer putting off the various jobs I had planned to do when I retired 4 years ago as a prelude to getting the house ready to move.
Getting DH to talk about making some plans would be great too!

Realistically I don't think we shall manage to move in 2012 but would like to have decluttered and have a specific plan in mind.

It's our 10th wedding anniversary on the 14th of this month and we're celebrating it by going to the Cotswolds where we went on honeymoon. We're staying close to the Slimbridge wildfowl and wetlands reserve and having a special dinner out on the evening of the 14th.

Plans? Hopefully the weight will continue its downward trajectory. I certainly don't intend to go back to where I was a few years ago, having got back to about what I weighed in the early 1980s.

    No other plans really.

Off to the USA to meet new grandson next week, then we will be going to look after him for a few months when lovely DIL goes back to work.

Can't make any holiday plans as I'm on NHS list for an operation.

OH promises, ahem, that he will clear the gargage, but as for genuine decluttering !!!!!!!!

I tend to live for the moment really but am also making a few tentative plans.
1 I aim to cut carbs out of my diet as much as possible and especially to re-think my cereal breakfast.
2 I want to actually put money into my savings account this year as it has been one constant withdrawal since we moved in july2010 and I cannot but cannot constantly drain it. I am not aiming for any big spends this year so I should manage to partly re-build it
3 I will be taking my bicycle out for longer rides, not just to the allotment and back, we could do with exploring the beautiful county in which we now live

congratulations Margaretclare. I know that you are part of a very happy couple

We'll be celebrating our Pearl wedding anniversary this year, we didn't make much of our silver (which was also the year of DH's 50th birthday) as he wasn't really well that year, nothing serious but debilitating and draining as he wasn't sleeping.

We think we can sneak away for a week around that time, just wondering if finances will stretch to the Canaries again!

We need a very serious declutter with a view to thinking about downsizing when all the boys have graduated, but there are complications to deal with first.

My plan for 2012 is to do my Royal Marines exercies every night without fail (whilst remembering the best laid plans can go awry) and to lose a stone (and I have no idea how to do that).
Otherwise .... taking each day as it comes.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Oh, Errata, you've reminded me - I haven't done any Tai Chi all holiday!

I'll miss most of the January class too, so I'll be so behind.

Eat more ice cream, get handicap into single figures, master the art of putting new seals on calipers, avoid paying as much tax as possible, continue my search for a rich widow who owns a pub beside a golf course.

It appears that our move back to the UK was the right one for all sorts of reasons, So my plan for 2012 is to live my new life to the best of my ability.

This will include (hopefully) House/Pet stting, visitig long-lost friends, continuing to be a good friend to the 'regulars', doing voluntary work for the church and CAP and losing the stone I have put on.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
