Can anyone help me please?

Basically I fully own 3 limited companies (ie 100% shares in my name). 2 of these limited companies are dormant and have been for at least a year andshare the same address. Today I got a form from Graydon Commercial credit search company on one of these companies. I thought it was a scam. But they are a fully licensed and registered company. I called them and they said oh you have applied for credit with this company - wouldn't say who.. I said no...it's dormant and has been for 2 years. They said maybe it's another company at that address then. I said no that's also dormant. Then they said oh we were just confirming it was dormant. Why would someone want credit info on a dormant company as I am the only person that can sign for anything on behalf of the company??

There are possible reasons ranging from someone considering approaching you to buy the company name but wanting to make sure there is no bad debt attached to it first to someone trying to commit fraud

Thanks! My concern was the fraud TBH. I guess someone could be about to approach for the name. It's a good name.
