I've decided when i *finally* sort my stash out I'm buying myself one of the super expensive bobbi brown make up trunks as a reward. if i save £1 per UU then i'll easily make it as I'm on nearly 300 products in the stash.
google "bobbi brown beauty trunk" and look at the images. it's make up heaven and it will stop me buying more stuff to stash with it.I'm quite proud of myself for resisting the beauty boxes so far, though I really would like to subscribe to one, I spent enough in the sales and so I've really got to save the next couple of months. Is it true that some beauty bloggers get different, more expensive, items to the general population with some of the boxes?
by some of the boxes i take it you mean glossybox :rotfl: they are the only ones that do different boxes atm. and yes, its widely suspected that they do. they also have recruited "beauty ambassadors" who are the really high profile ones who now have completely free never ending subscriptions and get each months box days before the paying customers boxes are even posted out. they were all on Facebook and twitter on the fri and sat before out boxes went out on mon saying how amazing it all was.
the first month of that basically made up my mind to leave. we all went on Facebook to see if ours had been posted out and got greeted with "heres my box! *picture* check out my blog!". you couldn't avoid them even if you wanted to not peek cz they (stupidly? selfishly?) just uploaded the pic of the contents. there were only a few that had the courtesy to post a pic of the red closed box and mention that their were "spoilers" on their blogs. what company lifts an embargo just as a box with a 2 day delivery time is just handed over to royal mail?Mrs_Addicted_to_Spending wrote: »Hi - please can I join in this thread? welcome!
i bet they do! none of my friends know how bad i am :rotfl: they just think I'm good at make up and seem to know all the products worth the money and where the bargains are :A0 -
I have been moving my stash and organising today while OH not around! Will soon be able to start my list. The following are GA's:-
Set of 3 x 150ml Sanctuary Body Butters- a gift, but most Sanctuary products do not work with my eczema.
1 x 250 ml Palmers Body Butter – like it but still have 1.1/2 to use and loads of other things.
1 200 ml Avon Body Butter – like it but have another in stock
1 250 ml Bronnley Lavender Body Lotion, used to like it but now not good with the eczema
1 Elizabeth Arden Lipstick – it does not look quite right for me (GWP) and if I try it, then it is no good to give away.
All these and anything else I decide to out, will go to CS for local dog rescue, only a small charity and they have 49 dogs needing homes in kennels at present.
Thank you all for the inspiration to get it all sorted. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
UU - Korres Body Butter WIBA? It came in a beauty box, my skin felt really nourished but it took a looooong time to sink in - so umm, maybe if it was on offer.
Evil squid, what do you use in your hair? I was just looking at this Happy Hair range in boots http://www.boots.com/en/Happy-Hair-Days-smoothing-shampoo-300ml_1142647/0 -
First use up! The dettol hand soap in the kitchen. WIBA? It was just soap
Using ecover one from stash now.
Got a few splutterers in the bathroom, getting excited already haha.0 -
Another UU to report:
TGel Shampoo 250ml
WIBA? Yes, and I need to cause I don't have any more in my stash and I need to use this at least once a week.0 -
21 INS to confess to!
After my splurge on LUSH on Friday. Lovely items have been delivered today and smell SO good. Now to find somewhere to put them before I sit on the naughty stair for a while...0 -
Has anyone tried the S&G Pulp-Friction Fruity Foam Scrub?
I tried it this morning and URGH! It was so difficult to wash off, and applying it was like spreading thick PVA glue on  The smell wasn't too great either. Not looking forward to using it again that's for sure :rotfl::j0 -
