TBH if the definition of heart attack is matched, any subsequent repair action is surplus to requirements anyway.
Remedial action, post myocardial infarct, would not render a claim insoluble.
As heart attack definitions have hardened over the last ten years, satisfying the recent requirements is likely to mean the earlier defs are satisfied too...I am a mortgage broker. Yes you're probably right. I was just making sure that even if the insurers found SOME WAY to escape the payout on the grounds of their definitions of heart attack that there may still be something to fall back on with the fact that they include some of the treatments (angioplasty, in this case) as separate critical illnesses which are covered by the policy.
I'm probably just being overly pessimistic, but then again, I'm just not used to receiving significantly large lump sums of money from companies... doesn't happen every day, let me tell you.0
