i have 2 credit cards, RBS and Mint. i have had these cards for donkeys years, maybe over 10 years.
i believe i was mis-sold the ppi on these at the time as i was not asked about other cover to protect the cards, and do not remember actually agreeing to the ppi.
i went through some money hardships about 3 years ago and when on the phone to the credit card company i was asked to cancel the insurance on the 1 credit card to make the monthly payment easier, which i did.
the other card still has ppi running on it
i went self employed 12 months ago and now have been told by friends that the ppi would not possibly cover me anyway.
with all the wealth of information on this and other site i am confused where to start with a letter etc to the credit card companys.
I have never claimed on either of the ppi polcies if this helps and i dont have any of the original paperwork apart from the card statements i get every month.
as times are hard and i am struggling to pay my bills any help on reclaiming would be grateful. with maybe links to the correct letters to send
thank you in advance

Hi
I am trying to claim PPI from Capital One CC at the minute, I downloaded templates from this website to do so.
The reason I am claiming is that I took out the card 11 years ago and at the time was employed, over the years I started working for the family business and was still classed as employed, however, when trying to claim on the PPI policy last year, (as the business had entered into difficuly and could not pay my wage), I was refused as they said they class working for a family business is just like being self employed and therefore I was not covered under the policy!!
I was extremely angry as I had being paying premiums for approx 7 years thinking I was covered as I was still a PAYE employee.
