Printer required but which 1

Would a laser printer be a suitable purchase for my nan to use to print off verses for cards etc. The printer she has now is 1 that we got some years ago as part as a PC bundle but personnally i think its a pile of crap. Due to where she lives I need a printer that would last for months and months without the ink getting dry. I was thinking of spending say £80 but is that enough to spend on 1.
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you are not going to use the printer for extended periods then the ink will eventually dry out, although it does take quite a while.
You could consider a colour lasjer printer, this would never dry out as it uses toner powder. Not as cheap as an inkjet but it does what you asked.

If she won't be printing colour, the Brother mono laser printers are very good. The toner cartridges aren't as expensive as other printers either. If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

Only buy an HP laser printer, the parts are widely available and if you can track down an HP Laserjet 4p you'll have a real work horse for years (B&W only)My Mind wanders, if found please return.0

its not me who would be using it but my nan, we dont see her often so i want something that would suffice if we only saw her say every 3 months or so(due to where she lives). She wouldnt use it everyday but id say a 3/4 of times a week.0 -

Some here, though the compatibles are not much less than the genuine ones, or not enough to take a risk with IMO

At least the links have the cartridge numbers so you can check for better options0 -
These verses, are they inserts for cards. most small Laser printers will do about 120gm paper, which is ideal for card inserts.
HP are good, but not the cheapest. Could pick up a Samsung mono laser plus a high yield toner cartridge for about £100, about same price for a basic HP. So with toner that comes with printer plus high yield toner, be looking at 3500 pages, and if just for verses then could easy double that number.
