No you wouldn't. You would need to be very severe to get it as in having a chance of an attack virtually every time you have to go out.
When you apply without having the highest rate of mobility on DLA, your doctor will be required to complete a medical form from the council, even if you have middle or lower rate of mobility DLA, let alone none at all. If your asthma attack can be controlled with an inhaler, forget it.0 -
Or you could just park in normal spaces like everyone else?

If you need one, you can get one. If you don't, deal with parking in ordinary spaces.0 -
Apply for a Blue Badge online
You automatically get one if you•are registered blind
•receive a War Pensioner’s Mobility supplement
•receive the higher rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance
•have received a lump sum benefit from the Armed Forces and Reserve Forces Compensation Scheme (within tariff levels 1-8) and have been certified as having a permanent and substantial disability which causes inability to walk or very considerable difficulty in walking
If you do not automatically qualify then whether you get one will depend on whether you•have a permanent and substantial disability which means they cannot walk, or makes walking very difficult
•drive a motor vehicle regularly and have a severe disability in both arms, making it very difficult or impossible to operate parking meters
You would have to declare one of these points and this would be assessed by your local authority.0 -
Having recently obtained my blue badge I can safely say that you will be tested throughly. Despite completing questionairres and giving access to my medical records I still had to go to an appointment at my local councils designated centre and prove that I have difficulty walking. Yep, I had to actually show that walking was difficult for me. Why so funny? I've had my whole right leg amputated!
Amuses the hell out of me.
