Don't eat at The Vine, Ower, Southampton

Don't eat here. Look at tripadvisor only 1 star.
My nephew and his family stayed in the Premier Inn (which was very nice) when
visiting Paultons Park and The Vine being right next door is where you eat.
My nephew asked if he could book breakfast for the next morning and was told no problem
see the reception in the morning and they would sort it out. He paid for breakfast
the next morning but when he was seated the manager refused to serve him saying he should
have given 24 hours notice. When my nephew explained to the manager what had happened and
said that he had already paid, the manager threatened him with violence and offered him outside to fight.
My nephew complained to Premier Inn (who advertise the breakfast deal) and they gave him 2 nights free stay voucher. If visiting Paultons Park avoid The Vine as there must be better places to eat.

I'm really surprised. I have eaten at the vine many times and have not only enjoyed the food but have never had any issues with the CS. Obviously there is no excuse for his behaviour, hope it didn't put too much of a damper on your break away.
