Late deals for flights in June???

Hi, I was just wondering whether the last minute arifare is a big gamble in June? I am going over to see family in June and coming back in October and all I can see is £380 return from Manchester to New York (JFK). If I went over now say 15th Feb and then came back in March it is only £220 so there is a big difference.

Do you think that I would be taking a big risk if I leave it until the last minute?

Feb and March is low season and is therefore cheaper and June is high season.

It may also be to do with the fact that you want to go June - October, which even if you went at the end of June and beginning of October is going to be over the 90 day visitor visa allowed if you are a tourist, but you may have another kind of visa, or an American passport to enable you to do this.

Depends when you are coming back in October - it may be half term ?

£380 for June is ok and no guarantees that there will be a flight last minute with the dollar weak against the pound and everyone heading over the pond !!
