ppi result and bankruptcy

New to this but need some advice
My wife and myself were both declared bankrupt in Sept 2011. We've just received notification of a ppi claim we have been awarded which we thought was long gone as we claimed for it back in 2010. Does this money have to go to the OR?

I would say yes as its an asset that existed before bankruptcy, but I may be wrong.0
