Small scratch on work vehicle

Hi, can anyone help clarify something for me please?
My other half works as a carer. He drives the work bus occasionally. He has his own insurance that lets him drive other cars 3rd party.
He scratched the work bus last week, and has just got into work and has been told the insurance company of the bus are wanting his address.
My question is who pays for the damage? Is it my partner, the insurance company of the bus or his personal car insurance? As far as he knows there is nothing written into his contract stating he is liable if there is an accident, although if he is then will pay!
Any thoughts would be welcome!
Thank you

Presumably the employer has made a claim on the insurer, and they will be paying for the damage.
Your oh will need to inform his own insurer of the incident (and any other insurers he is under cover with as a named driver).0 -
Private car insurance only entitles you to drive a private car (or motorbike in some cases) third party only so that will be removed from the equation. Surely the bus Insurance would cover it... else what is the point in having the Insurance?0

The works insurance will cover it, but it's usual now to take the home address to enter the details on the insurers database.
This enures they have the opportunity to increase all his other insurance as he now had to declare the accident.
Before, you could use the company address, then if you didn't shop yourself, your own insurer couldn't find out.
They'll also want to check his licence details are correct, as his employer no doubt has asked for a photocopy to ensure he can drive the bus.0
