Damp in home?

Options
Hi,

Can someone help me i moved into my two bed mid terraced property in 2006 and over time have come across many problems. Although main one concerning me is signs of damp? possibly rising damp its appearing in all areas of my living room on both sides? I can see water marks, paint stripping of the walls. The property was gutted in 2004/2005 and all inside rebuilt along with an extension so i cant see why this would or has happened but it looks like many of jobs were not carried out properly so I need to know where to start to get all this put right before more damaged is caused as I keep trying to ignore but Im aware problem will only get worse so please help?

Age of property? Construction of walls? Location and type of any damp proof courses?
