I HATE THEM!!!! The only reason I still have an account with them is because of my graduate loan... The day that is paid off will be without a doubt the happiest day EVER!!! Instead of ending in Aug 2014 then I'm hoping for it to be gone by October this year at the latest as I still have £8k to pay off yet so need to really ramp up the savings!
You've just reminded me that I have a mini-chocolate roll in my drawer. Drat! :rotfl:
I'll not mention who my employers are then...
It may be worth your while to refinance the loan however, as those set up a few years ago don't have the ability to take over payments, while those that have been set up more recently can take overpayments on a piecemeal basis rather than having to pay off the whole loan in one go.
I'll go hang my head in shame elsewhere.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

To be honest I get that all the time anyway as I'm 5ft7in and 11st so a size 12. My boss says that if I turn sideways then I'd have to marked as absent! They just don't understand though that I prefer being a size 10 hence why I'm trying to lose the extra but it gets tougher the closer I get to my target weight! I'm just glad that I've almost got rid of the Xmas weight...
Poor Pedro, he's really been in a goldfish bowl hasn't he?! He's probably ran away now, thanks Kerri!
Yay for your weight loss kerri!!! It's a great feeling isn't it to be losing lbs as well as £'s...! xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Oh no!!! I'm so sorry, I really hope I've not offended you or made you feel bad. I've just had bad experiences with that bank that's all...
If i refinance then wouldn't the interest just get lumped back onto the capital again so in effect I would be paying interest twice...? xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Someone did once tell me that I don't seem like I work in a bank because I'm not at all scary...
Basically, when you pay off the loan any interest that you haven't already paid gets refunded, so for example -
5k outstanding, plus 1k of interest (if the loan was to run to term). So the total amount to repay would be 5k.
New loan would then be taken out for 5k (this is where it may be worth comparing interest rates to see if the maths works out.) If the rate is the same, then the new loan will be calculated, and as long as it is over the same term as the number of repayments you have left, then it will calculate the interest to the same amount. So with the same example the new loan would be the 5k, plus 1k interest.
So what I mean to say is that you wouldn't pay the interest on your loan twice.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!
