    Well, the relevant bit for my point is where you are justifying and therefore normalising the behaviour.

    You do then go on to say the behaviour is unacceptable, but it was the normalising I wanted to comment on. That's the part I believe society needs to stop if we are ever to progress. In many ways, the reason for the behaviour is irrelevant; it's the receiver's interpretation that matters.
