    Green Tea Fights Psoriasis, Dandruff

Only problem is that you've got to bathe in it...but at this price
Green tea Photoprotection this is just one example of research showing Green Tea protects the skin. So if you carry your green tea baths through the summer you should find your skin is less likely to burn. (though you should always stop sunbathing before your skin goes pink as the Vit d gets destroyed if it gets too much heat) It may seem a potty idea bathing in green tea but Overview of antibacterial, antitoxin, antiviral, and antifungal activities of tea flavonoids and teas. shows it really does have the potential to help skin conditions particularly in those more personal areas.

For drinking it is a bit of an acquired taste so stick with it for a week or so and you'll find you start looking forward to the next cup.
Best made with water "off" the boil and not brewed for too long. All the goodness is extracted in 5 mins so don't leave the bags in the pot.

  • I've been drinking it for the last couple of days and I am an avid tea drinker.

It tastes just like normal tea to be honest, though you have it without milk.
I have had green tea before and this one is less strong tasting, presumably to appeal to British tea drinkers.

Anyone confirm this is nationwide, or is it just the OPs store?

We have had this offer on our store
as well, but as you can imagine they
    got snapped up quickly.

    We also had
    Clipper Organic teabags box
    of 80 reduced to 69p.I bought 12
boxes and just checking the sell by
    dates its 20/3/08.

There were other twinning and Clipper teas
but they all got snatched up quickly.varying
prices from 20 to around 90p depending on
size and type.Ours were all at the end of
the tea aisle.I know they have sold out
    at Huntscross Liverpool.

  • Hi everyone. Haven't posted on here before, sorry if I'm in the wrong place. I've been using this site for a while and have saved quite a bit of money so thought I'd better contribute.
Have just come back from shopping in Asda and wanted to let all you other shoppers know that they are selling Asda own brand of curry cook in sauce for only 6p a jar. Needless to say, my cupboards now have a few jars in them

This is very interesting, and there are certainly some great qualities when you separate the constituents of green tea out, but can I just sound a note of caution about using green tea on the skin. I was involved in some research that identified green tea as a skin sensitiser - frustratingly I can't give links or more details.

Whilst it is perfectly safe (and indeed has many possible health benefits) to drink, I would urge caution before applying this to the skin - at the very least don't take my word for it but do your own checks or ask a healthcare professional.

Yesterday in my local Asda they had wind-up LED torches for £5 and 7" Digital photoframes for £38 - think these are a bargain  they also had two kids scooters for £15.
