Obsolete foreign coins/notes

Are there any charities that collect foreign coins/notes. I keep finding odd bits of foreign currency in the bottom of cupboards (mainly pesetas, escudos, francs) and was wondering if anyone could use them.

Thanks for the posts - my old coins will be winging their way to the animal charity. The other was well deserving too but have to admit have a soft spot for the animals. Would turn the house into a zoo if I had the opportunity (well perhaps its already a zoo with one two year old and my other half).

This charity also takes foreign coins, they are an animal charity which works worldwide.

Most Charity shops will accept foreign coins and notes just a case of dropping them into you local shop.
