SMS from Capital One

Just received the following text message on my mobile phone from Capital One:
Just a quick reminder, please remember to use your new card(s). If you have not received your card(s), please call us on 08444812812 or +441159938002

It appears to be genuine, but I'm not expecting a new card quite yet. Mine doesn't expire until June 2012. Unfortunately I'm away from home until 4th January 2012, so it's probably in my letter box waiting for me. :)

Send me your key and details of your address. I'll pop round and look if you like. If you send me your PIN too I'll check if your new card works.

Be nice to MSE-ers is my motto for 2012. :D

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Somewhere you've used your card may have accidentally leaked some card numbers (or thought they had). I had the same txt last month. Annoying for me also as I was at uni and my card got sent to my home address.
