I have received a jewellery set for xmas, the necklace has broken, I have been offered a refund but they would not take back the bracelet and earrings, as they are all part of the same set would I not be entitled to a full refund>

Were they purchased together as a set, or as individual items which form a set?0

Because you didn't purchase it. You are not entitled to anything.
If it was bought as a set, then whoever bought it would be well within their rights to return it as not fit for purpose under SOGA and get a full refund.
They would have to do this soon though. They can ask for a refund within a 'reasonable' time only ( a week or so is reasonable). After this, they can ask for a refund, replacement or repair but the shop will be able to decide what they offer. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
