Balance transfer

Hi, don't know if I'm posting this thread in the right place but really hope someone can help. I have a credit card from lloyds tsb and would like to get a balance transfer card to avoid paying inbterest and therfore pay it off quicker but I've applied to quite a few companies and they all declined :( instead the internet shown me the ones that would accpet but they are 34,9% APR. Is that any good for me?? I am going to set up a direct debit payment so it will be paid on time every month but I'm still worried about that percentage. Can someone please help. I will be ever so gratefull. Thank you in advance. Aggy

What's the rate on the Lloyds CC. I can't see it being more than the ones you are being steered to so there is no point doing a balance transfer.

And stop applying for credit, you're now harming your credit rating.
  • Thanks for advice but i didnt realise it :(( then found out and it was to late, i think the one i have now is something like 17%
  • So does that mean i would have to pay even more?? i wanted 0% balance trnasfer :(

17% is fairly average for a standard rate. As you've found out you're not going to get a 0% card so you're just going to have to pay as much as you can to your Lloyds card.

Aggy, Have you missed payments on your Lloyds card in the last 12 months or gone over your credit limit? if you have bring your account back in order and keep it that way for 12 months then try applying for another 0% card
