Trying to sort this holiday out. Does anyone recommend a travel agent or is it cheaper to do it by myself through Expedia/budget airlines? Got the Citalia brochure but that seemed expensive. Would be nice to have transfers to the hotel/some sightseeing tours arranged etc which would be quite time consuming to organise seperately so thought a package might be easier but more expensive - anyway to have reasonable price but package too would be perfect. Want 3/4 star hotels, in June with my wife, 2 nights in each place. Any recommendations out there?

One-way flights into Venice and out of Rome with BA, EasyJet, etc. and then book your trains through https://www.trenitalia.com
There's quite a few threads about on hotels in the three cities and Time Out's recommendations are generally pretty good for mid-range hotels...0 -
