Hi there I would like some help please.
A few years ago I took a loan out with welcome finance for £5000. This was to go over 5 years paying £250 a month (total payment £15000). I think I may be entitled to getting some ppi insurance back, but I dont really know how I go about it. I dont have any longer my account information either as I settled the loan a few years ago. Please could somebody help me with the next steps as I really am clueless about all this x
Thanks x

Hi there,if your loan was pre 2005 you put a claim into Welcome, send them a SAR
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553
and enclose a £10 cheque, this should throw the account number up.then we can take it from there.
Did you do internet banking and paid by DD? if you did have a look at the DD list and if it is still there, the account number will be there.
If the loan was post 2005 you need to get the account number and then get a claim form from the FSCS

ive just rang them and they gave me the account number and how much I paid. Seems I Paid a little less than I expected. £199.89 over £6000 but still paid £11993.40. When I asked the lady for the ppi insurance number, she went to give me it and I heard some guy in the background whisper then she turned round and said i didnt have ppi?! Ive still got my paperwork in the attic so ill get that all down too today. Thanks for the help!0

You dont need the ppi number to make a mis sell claim, the account number is all you need.
So depending on when the loan was taken out you need to get a claim in ASAP.0
