    Morning all :)

Not been a great week, still only on 3 days AF for August
I just have no willpower, I want to drink less but actually doing it is another matter :o

Anyway, I hope everyone else is doing well, and at least it's nearly the weekend!

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Morning all, managed another AF night last night although sharing a bed with the DH as he has finished a night shift pattern is PAINFUL - he just wants to be awake until 1am and INSISTS on having the blinking TV on in the bedroom. Now sometimes I can drop off, but usually it just keeps me awake, so feel very fuggy headed and a bit short tempered - just imagine the result with a hangover!!! I shall hold on to this feeling of it being better even if all I actually want to do is curl up and snooze under my desk today.

I'm sure doing the SNC is helping. I could easily have started my weekend on Wednesday if it wasn't for you!;) Hang on in there!

Hello, finally I have 2 AFDs to declare - been off vsiting friends and it was all a bit boozy. Back on the straight and narrow now though, with yesterday and today being AF.
    Feel gladtobe sober!
    Trying to keep in budget.

Where alcohol is concerned I have no willpower either.
I have willpower with food, exercise and other things, but NONE with alcohol.
That's why as hard as I tried, I couldn't get control over my drinking. I just couldn't summon up the willpower as it didn't exist and will never exist for me...

    Have a good w/e everyone

Thank you, I'm sure it is helping me too. I just need to find a different crutch for when things are rubbish!

Will do the SNC again next week then we are away for a fortnight so will not be about for a bit.

Thank you Graeme, wise words as always. We, as a family spend a lot of time together an alcohol is a big part of that. I think collectively we need to make changes, but also I have to learn to say no and mean it. This trying to cut down/give up seems like a daily battle that has been going on way too long and I just don't want to spend my energy thinking about it any more.
