    Hopless -good luck!

Well, arrived home to a £55 cheque for a refund on my car tax, so chuffed with that, got lots of things 'in progress' that i won't count til i have cheque/payment definately on the way to my bank account, but got items on eBay with bids on, music magpie bundle has been sent off, up to nearly £8 worth of stuff on Zapper that I need to make up to the minimum amount for them to accept, I've got an old printer to take to Tesco, which online they reckon I'll get 10.96 for! I still need to find that old mobile, i've got things tracking through Quidco and a MS booked for later in the month (that might end up going towards next months challenge!) So, getting there, but need to step things up a bit! On another positve note, I left my purse at home today, so I haven't spent anything, we're out for a friends birthday dinner at the weekend and they asked if it was "ok" to go to a restaurant that had a voucher deal on this weekend! Haha! I of course said yes! On an even more positive note, spoke to my boss about promotion today too and that is looking very very good! BF is being good and we're having meals from the freezer/stores so our food budget is doing ok too at the mo! Wow, even more encouraging when you write all these things down isn't it! :-)
  • Hi sorry about posting the swag code earlier today! I will remember and only post the whereabouts next time i find one in time! Always seem to miss out on them!
    just a quick update.
Maximiles cashed out - 7070 for £30 M&S e-voucher received today! Very quick e-gift card delivery.
£10 Ikea gift card received for doing a survey for them ages ago! Thought it wasn't going to come, waited ages, planned on spending it on a kitchen table but in the end had to pay full price for it! Anyway hope they don't expire, got nothing to buy now!
    Total £136.20

it's ok Thirftymummy, you weren't to know. I spotted an email today about the code but the time I logged in, it had just expired :( and I don't always catch them either. But they are very handy for boosting your account!

Just want to say :wave:to everyone new to this challenge. Go for it!! It is amazing what you can achieve.

Adding £150 today which has been paid into my account for cashing in broken gold jewellery. Very very happy about this :D. I actually got £244 paid for 20 grams of old gold, but I desperately needed to add some items to my work wardrobe which was well well past its best so decide to give myself a treat with the other £95.

Would totally recommend Hatton Garden metals - really easy website. They received the items today and the money was in my account by 5pm. Great service. I did have a little panic as I sent them special delivery on Monday and it should have got there yesterday but didn't and when I checked this morning it had been signed for by Mr A Hole :rotfl:!! All came good though. So, will be chasing the post office for a refund on my £5.85 delivery as they did not meet the delivery deadline. Happy days!

Also including £4.38 as used boots advantage card points to pay for some dental care items. £4.29 profit from an ebay sale.

Off to catch up on the last 2 days of this thread............!

EDIT: Just to add - GOOD LUCK FOR TOMORROW HOPLESS xxxxx How exciting!!!!
  • Been busy so haven't had a chance to update my total until now. I'm having a good start to the challenge with 94.71 being made so far on ebay.
    £5 a day January 94.71/£155
    £10 a day Feb £15/£290
