Im in, £10 a day for me please :D

Im with MissKaytee, 2012 is my year....save lots, lose lots (of weight!), and be merry all year!

One more thing, Im really not happy with the first post. It mentions those who keep the thread going...but no mention of the almighty Aesop! Add your name Aesop!! :D
    £20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**
  • Thank you! I think I have my signature sorted.... I am going to do the book thing later. The more I think about it the more I think what the heck, I need them gone. My bookcase is ready to collapse. I also have alot of books at my mother in laws from when we moved 3years ago! I have a kindle now so all books (except maybe 20 are surplus to requirement) Same with my only watched once DVD's they can all go to magpie!!!

Hi Lotte. I gave most of my books to Amazon an the space i have made is amazing. If you have any educational textbooks they bring much more than 25p. Good luck with the challenge. I love it! xx

Ok I'm really sorry if I'm being thick here but I'm a little confused. Do I actually have to make £10 EVERY single day in January or is it ok if I sell something on Ebay for say £40, does that count for 4 days or only one? I don't know how on earth I would be able to make £10 extra every day (OMG, if I could then my life would be bearable) If you could give me some tips that'd be great. I do mystery shopping but there's very little in my area, for example I've two booked in in Jan but they are only paying £4 each (on top of reimbursement) so even if I did them both on the same day that wouldn't be the £10 plus htere are no more available here in Jan. What else could I do? I teach so unfortunately overtime is not an option. I really want to join this but can you give me some guidance and a bit more clarification re the rules? Thank you. :)

I think that the majority of us do this Inamin. I couldn't make £10 each day, but i might have a weekend on ebay where i make £30. So thats like 3 days. I find aiming to make the set amount much easier than making a daily amount. So this month, £10 a day is £310. It sounds like a lot, but its amazing how quick you can do it and how making little cutbacks like not buying a coffee can save you so much money! Good luck. I'm sure you will love it. We are all a friendly bunch so if you need any help someone will be able to help. xx

  • I'll be in again next month, £5 again for me, must improve on my poor December efforts.
  • Hi all

I often follow this thread, but rarely post. I am challenging myself to make £3660 in 2012, so basically the same £10 a day over the whole year, but mine will carry over each month. I started just before Christmas, when I banked my £2 coins and sealed pot. So far I have cleared January and February!!. My year always starts well but often falls apart by May so I am hoping to keep up this year.

Will follow everyones progress, and hopefully get some good ideas from here

Hoping to stick to the challenge this year!!
