I didn't get in for the paid forum posting :(

I asked for the reasons and was told that my sentences were fragmented, I didn't use paragraphs or punctuation correctly and that I didn't type as if English were my first language.

I thought that was a bit harsh! :( I know sometimes my posts on here may not be perfect (as I don't tend to think anyone here will be scrutinising them! :D) but I thought the posts I had submitted for that site weren't that bad! :p

Oh well, off to check out blog commenting instead :D

    that was harsh.

maybe your english was a bit too good and that's why they thought it wasn't your first language :p

Thanks! :D I'm amazed, lol. It's taken nearly a year, and there have been so many (sooooooo many!) days when I've had bingo running all day long - will be so glad to see the back of that website, lol. Good luck with it, fingers crossed you'll win a big one and can get there a little faster :)
I do both woohoo and sb tv at the same time ;) and often a survey as well LOL!

Thanks to you both. I've got woohoo on again while going through surveys etc. Maybe I should do TV too....see how far my tabs can stretch and how quick my points can rack up. (or how far my patience will stretch.)

Another £25 to declare for me, came though in emails and is some of the vouchers I'm waiting on.

    Just £10 from Swagbucks
    £30 from Toluna
£10 from survey friends that are expected. Oh and my £30 B&Q from Maximiles but I don't expect them til next month.

Right off to play survey catchup
You have to start to finish.

Not much to report today. Should have been in work but was off sick _pale_

DS seems to have kindly passed his weekend vomiting bug to me! Seem to have passed the worst of it now though although not really eaten anything yet.

Will be making a start on my tax return when the kids go to bed as feeling a bit better and aim to get it finished by tomorrow night. Promise will do nothing else and no ebaying until it is finished! :p

Unlucky on the forum posts Beccie - sounds REALLY harsh!! Blimey, what do they want? Maybe you could apply again at a later date?

Have had 1 ebay sale but think profit will only be a couple of pounds. Will add tomorrow when posted it.

Me neither, haven't even bothered to ask for reasons, time to move onto the next thing!

Still nothing to add, last night's babysitting was cancelled. I'm £128 short of my goal for this month...but I won't fear just yet, have a couple of things up my sleeve (hello Zapper) and if I don't meet the £465 goal, well I'm already £337 up!

I'm going to spend tonight sorting through more boxes for Zapper, answering eBay questions and chilling out :)

    Hi everyone

eb*y advice please :o i've listed an item for sale and popped a reserve price on and now had an e-mail asking what the reserve price is - i've only just listed the item so its not as though its coming up to end time or anything. Would you just reply with what the reserve is? As thats obviously an amount i'm happy to accept for it but never been asked this before :o

Thanks in advance for any help :)

beccie - that does sound really harsh - kinda glad i didn't apply now :o

bluecow - hope you are fully recovered soon

Well.......if it was me I would probably just tell them what the reserve price is. If they are interested they will bid that amount and if they aren't they will move on. So, I suppose you have nothing to loose really.

    Good luck with sale!
  • ooo I don't like the forum being shrunk......I hope it fattens up again soon.

EDITED TO ADD ... FOUND THIS HERE

The forum has gone fixed width.

As part of the change, to aid future development, the forum will now be a fixed width, rather than stretchy as it was. This will be the default for all site visitors (i.e. non logged in users), including registered users using the new style.

We have a lot of plans for the Forum this year, to give it more functions and make it much easier to use, and better looking - the stretchiness has always been a barrier to that - so this change is the first step in that.

We know that change isn't always easy in the forums, and expect there to be some concerns, but we hope you'll stick with it.

    "I hate fixed width"

We would ask you to try it for a week. Yet if you really can't stomach it you can revert it - the option can be found under your User CP option > Edit Options > Scroll down to the "Miscellaneous Options" area and look for the option labelled "Forum Skin" > Change it to "New masthead, stretchy".

However it's important to be clear the future will see us developing new features and tools based on a fixed width, so no guarantees can be made for compatibility (although we try our best to make it work).
