SAFETY WARNING: ASDA Play & Learn Baby's Phone!

I bought 2 ASDA Play & Learn Baby Phones as Xmas pressies and thought I was getting a bargain. It is like a toy mobile phone that has buttons and a light-up mirror for a screen. The box states it as suitable for 6 months plus so thought it was more than OK for my 8 month old son to play with. He is at that age where everything he holds just goes straight in his mouth and I didn't really see a problem with him putting this toy in there. BIG MISTAKE! He actually managed to lick the paint off the mirror! I then wiped the screen with a baby wipe, and sure enough, the rest of the paint came off too! I don't know if it was a bad batch or all of them are the same but if you have one please don't give it to your child until you are sure it is safe!

take it back to Asda as its clearly a safety issue. if they dont do anything then contact trading standards.

as other say. take it back to store and demand to speak to General Store Manager.
explain the safety issue and see what he does if he does nothing say you will contact TS.
