Hi Everyone,
I have just come across this thread, as you can see from my sig I am doing a few other challenges...not sure whether o join this one as well!!!??? How is everyone finding the weekly challenge?
I'm not sure if I can really afford to pay more than my minimum amount on top of the minimum each month...I could afford an extra £5 or so each week, does that count?
Thanks for your helps and support guys xxCleared £5k debt in 2015 (SO FAR)

Hi Sammy,
I'm sure every member of this challenge will agree with me that it doesn't matter how much you pay. Even 50p a week will eventually make a dent
To all current members - I'm not sure if I should count this or not.
When I first had my LBM my minimums on my dreaded CC's was £380. Thanks to paying a chunk off and being a card tart with 0% deals, the minimums now are a lot less. Today is my pay day and I have paid off £250 against my credit card as that's the original £380 less the minimums I now pay. Can this count as this weeks overpayment?

Rubbish for me this week as my multi-buy savings only came to 20p
although I suppose I stuck to my shopping list
I am going to try to pay something next week but until then I am trying to NSD but with the kids off that's easier said then done (especially as it was DS1 birthday on Sunday and we took the kids bowling).
Actually now I think about it, we bought all DS1's gifts without sticking them on the Ar@os card like usual, we took the kids bowling and only the kids bowled (DH helped and I supervised the others while they waited their turn) we got pizza for tea and DH and I shared and usually would get one each (then have loads left over that never gets eaten) and I was going to make a cake and costed the things I needed and calculated that it was better value to buy a Mr T Value one so I suppose although I haven't made an extra payment I have achieved something I normally wouldn't have done :rotfl:
Extra payment a week - 5/2/12 - £11.84 :T0 -
Hi everyone
Sammy, come join in even a small amount makes a difference plus it gives you a boost
Payday today for me so a huge £130 for cc0 -
Quick question - is anyone else totally surprised about how they actually have surplus each week to pay against their debts?
I've spent months (years?) convincing myself that I simply can't pay more than my usual payments, so it's been a bit of an eye opener to pay anything extra and still have enough for other things.0 -
just made and extra payment of £18 to cc
2nd payment woooo hoooooo !!Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Hi Purplegrape Yes I feel the same the £200 extra I have paid doing this challenge would have been spent on rubbish !!!Before my LBM and I never thought I would have had any extra let alone £200 !:T
