Updated 19-1-12 I have physically received the Love2Shop £100 vouchers and £50 compensation cheque. Thank you to nPower complaints team.
Moneysupermarket and nPower Energy Switch Nightmare 2011
It's as easy as 1, 2, err?
I spot £100 LOVE2SHOP vouchers for a dual fuel transfer to nPower and can't control my brains retail response. The switch begins via MoneySavingExpert linked to Moneysupermarket offering £40 cash back paid into my bank account for successful dual fuel transfer plus nPower offers additional deal for £100 LOVE2SHOP vouchers for successful dual fuel switch. Also they claim I will save about £20 per year for fuel compared to Eon and my fuel prices are capped until 2013. All sounds too good to be true doesn't it? Follow the yellow brick road; follow the yellow brick road...
Time frames: very long
but deal closed now so can't effect anyone else. OP edited as I felt appropriate
In fairness to nPower they requested the incorrect supply number for my gas using the address information provided by Moneysupermarket's address database which, does not match up to TRANSCO supply address database, I was told by nPower CS. This would seem to be the source of all the problems and failed transfers.
So all I can say to Money Supermarket is,"Get it sorted please"!
To all the nPower Customer Service Team and Complaints Team who dealt with my numerous queries and complaints, "a big thanks for listening & making things right in the end".
