Although you probably wouldn't be allowed to do this, you could remove the PC from the domain to a workgroup, try to run HitMan Pro, then join the PC back to the domain again. You need domain Administrator-type privileges and also local Administrator privileges!
This may not continue if he gets viruses on it...!
Yes, I've had a look at doing that, but I'm not going to go that route simply because it is a business machine.
The company has no problem with their machines being used for general surfing, but as I said above, he has to get them to review their security. AVG SBS is now 2/3 yrs out of date, think AVG 9.0.
He's based 100+ miles from the offices and uses a VPN, so the onus is on them to have good security. No IT dept, it's a small company (10 pcs?) any problems, that's for him to find local support, i.e. me.
I charge a couple of pints, paid out of petty cash, which I declare to HMRC. :rotfl:Move along, nothing to see.0
