Need help with updating an old small family bathroom.

Hello,

Our house has one bathroom which needs complete updating from tiles to bath tub.
The house is terraced, with only one "exterior" wall which is the one that looks out into the garden.
Currently, the toilet, basin and shower/bath taps all are connected on that wall.
The bathroom is 1800mm wide x2200mm long

I'm planning to fit the toilet, basin and the bath with the taps and shower head..etc myself as I've previously changed a bathroom suite..
but the layout would be much better with say a P shaped bathroom, however for that to happen the widest part would be on the interior wall.. is that a problem in terms of plumbing and having a shower head there?

ANY advice on dealing with small bathrooms/tips/recommendations are greatly accepted :money: thanks~!
