Im on the basic Sky broadband and am allowed 2mg a month.
Ive gone over my allotted time once and Sky told me if i do it again
they will put me on the £7.50 one.
How many hours does 2mg equate to, Im up to 75% usage already with another 13 days to go and dont want to go over and end up having to pay the fees
Anyone any ideas please

What do you actually do on the internet?
2GB isn't alot, You could easily use 2gb in about 2-3 days depending what you do. like watch vidoes on youtube, use things like tv catchup.0 -
Isn't there some kind of programme that allows you to monitor your usage? You'll have to speak up; I'm wearing a towel0
-
I only surf the internet and email really.
I have found a link from Sky that allows me to monitor it since I originally posted. Im up to 74/5% so I can monitor now till my next
billing date with is 10th so I'll just have to go steady. Then I might either upgrade or change to Talk Talk, which is cheaper than
Sky want to charge me.
Thanks for your help.

If you have been a long-term customer with Sky, you can usually negotiate/haggle to be put on to the higher GB allowance package at no extra cost.
Are you paying £5 a month for Broadband? If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

No its free because I have Sky talk, etc
But the next payment up is £7.50 which I am loathe to pay, Sky said that each month for the last 2 months I have gone only slightly over my limit so I balk at paying more. Im a long way from the exchange so cant use Iplayer or download films etc.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

well 2gb for a full month wouldn't really suit anyone.
If your on the internet everyday for hours your gonna use it all up.
£7.50 is nothing sky is just trying to save you money in the end.0 -
2Gb is enough for about four hours of BBC iPlayer viewing.
£7.50 /month for unlimited broadband is as good a price as you are likely to find.
Maybe you can persuade Sky to do you a 6 month half price offer? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Thanks for that, I think I'll ring Sky again tomorrow.
I looked at Talk Talk who did about 20 for £3.25 a month with line rental about £9. I just might use that as leverage.
Pensioner so £7.50 is a lot of money a month to pay out.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

talktalk £3.25 is only for 6 months, and your in a 18 month contract and could end up paying alot more than £10 a month.0

If you can pay your line rental 12 months up front for £119.40. it works out as £9.95 / month equivalent. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
