Hi, does anyone know when BT will be offering their inclusive calls to mobile phones packeage which they announced an April? It's costing me a fortune at the moment to divert my home phone to my mobile:(

Probably never? I'm not quite sure what you are asking, BT have offered a Mobile discount package for quite a while now, and latterly have reduced the cost of calling mobiles from BT landlines (depending on which network is called), the rates are different. The mobile package now stands out as a bad deal, as the savings of the package are based on the old higher rates for calling mobiles, so the savings are considerably less.

However, there is another gotcha - the reduced cost of the package only refers to calls you dial yourself, NOT those that are dialled by the exchange as part of a diversion process - so the benefit of a cost reduction will only benefit if you key in the number of the mobile yourself. From what you say the bulk of the calls will be diverts, so as you won't be dialling, the cost of the diversion will be at BT's standard rates.

Its available now. Its called the unlimited anytime and mobile plan and cost £10.00 a month if you have a BT Broadband and calls bundle or £15.00 a month if you just have BT line rental. It includes unlimited landline calls, 600mins/150 calls to 0845/0870 and 1000 mins a month to any uk mobile.

Lots on Google -although it all says it's a test service which BT are offering to some customers.

If they start doing 'free' calls to mobiles it would certainly shake up the market.

BT announced in April that they were developing an all-inclusive package which will include mobile calls.
